WED 23 SEP — TUE 29 SEP
Settled start with pressure dropping through the week — look for the falling-pressure window before fronts arrive. The equinox is behind us, and it is starting to feel more autumnal. Nights turned cooler this week across parts of the country, and the first proper Atlantic lows of the season are beginning to organise. So far they have tracked to the north-west of the UK and have brought little direct weather with them. For the fishing, the mild spell has helped conditions. Water temperatures have held up well, so fish are still feeding freely, and the more unsettled pattern arriving this week should help. Such conditions tends to bring fish on the feed, and current model runs point to fishing conditions improving into next week. As ever, the detail depends on where the lows track. If they swing closer, expect more rain and colour on the rivers. |

A NOTE ON UNCERTAINTY.
The FOI is a probability indicator built from our rules dataset
and a 7-model weather ensemble. A category
describes the dominant outlook for a region — individual sessions
will vary. Check the regional page on the morning you fish for
